Dermal Fillers

DERMAL FILLERS

Derma Fillers are a highly effective method of facial rejuvenation. Its main purpose is to treat wrinkles and fine lines on your face, but it can also be used on other parts of the body such as your hands. There are several types of Derma Fillers offered by Solana Aesthetics, and each has its advantages to create younger looking skin.

Dermal Fillers are an injectable treatment that are a great option for creating a youthful appearance by reducing unwanted facial folds and wrinkles, and defining and/or enhancing areas of volume loss.

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances made from hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxylapatite to help soften fine lines and wrinkles, and also plump up and restore facial volume that is naturally lost as we age. During the aging process, the face loses subcutaneous fat, which ages facial structure and makes lines more apparent.

Dermal Fillers are wonderful for those who are seeking plumper lips, correcting hallowing of the under eyes and temples, more defined cheeks and jawline, smoothing of deep facial lines, marionette lines and nasolabial folds, and also, you can get treatment for wrinkles on your hands.

Derma Fillers and Botox treatments have often been compared, as they both produce the same result. The difference between Botox versus Derma Fillers is that Botox uses a purified bacteria to tighten facial skin, while Derma Fillers add volume to skin to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

Solana Aesthetics offers Derma Fillers with two main active ingredients, which are Calcium hydroxylapatite, and Hyaluronic acid.

Calcium hydroxylapatite – Calcium hydroxylapatite is a natural substance that’s found in human bones. It’s mineral based, and is consistent and reliable in that injections don’t migrate and has been thoroughly tested.

Radiesse Derma Fillers – Radiesse is a more voluminous form of Derma Filler, and that’s why it’s typically used for moderate-to-severe facial folds, and where volume has been seriously compromised by either aging, or side affects from disease treatment.

Hyaluronic acid Derma Fillers – Solana Aesthetics offers four types of Hyaluronic acid Derma Fillers, which are Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus, and Restylane.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the body and is found not only in your soft connective tissue, but also the fluid on your eyes. This can be extracted from the body, and with the addition of cartilage and joint fluid, it is injected into the treated area. This improves your face’s contours by reducing scars or wrinkles. Solana Aesthetics offers four kinds of hyaluronic acid Derma Fillers:

Belotero Derma Fillers – Belotero is the softest Derma Filler that Solana Aesthetics offers, and that’s why it’s a wonderful treatment for superficial signs of aging, such as crow’s feet and frown lines.

Volbella is the softest form of Juvederm Derma Fillers, and that’s why it’s typically used for wrinkles under the eye lids.

Vollure are the perfect balance fo the three Juvederm Derma Fillers, and that’s why they  are typically used to treat nasolabial folds, which occur between your nose and your mouth.

Voluma is the fullest form of Juvederm Derma Fillers, and is used to treat wrinkles and depressions in high volume areas, such as your cheeks.

Dermal Filler treatments can take anywhere from 15-60 minutes, depending on the size of the surface of the treated area. Prior to receiving injections, your Solana Aesthetician may apply a topical numbing agent, though most patients report only a minor burning on the treatment area.

Results are typically seen right away after treatments, and the number of treatments required will vary from patient-to-patient. The longevity of the filler depends on many factors including the product used, placement on the face and the patient. Filler around the mouth tends to metabolize the quickest as that is where the most movement is on the face.

There is typically little to no downtime, but your Solana Aesthetician may recommend skipping strenuous exercise for a day-or-two. How long Dermal Fillers last varies, but typically last anywhere from 6-18 months.

Dermal Filler Treatments

Fillers can be used to lift and contour the cheeks. This also diminishes the appearance of the nasolabial folds (smile lines).

Filler can be used to fill in hollowing under the eyes or minimize the appearance of under eye bags. This results in a refreshed and more awake look. Often, cheek (midface) filler is also needed to achieve a natural result.

Lip filler is a great way to enhance your lip size or create a more balanced symmetrical smile.

Filler can be used to soften the appearance of deepened smile lines. In some instances, cheek filler is needed in conjunction to help lift and take the weight off of the smile lines to decrease their appearance.

Do you have a weak chin or jawline? Or just want a more chiseled profile? Filler can be used to augment these areas to create balance in the face.

Filler can be used to rejuvenate the lower face, fill in fine lines around the mouth, and turn up the corners of the mouth as needed.

Do you have hallowing of the temples? This area can be treated with fillers to create a more youthful appearance.

Do your hands not match your face? Filler is now being used to restore volume loss in the tops of the hands for a youthful and refreshed look.

Have you been botched? Or are not pleased with a filler treatment done elsewhere? We can dissolve your filler with an enzyme called hyaluronidase.
